He was left behind in an empty apartment when his family disappeared, with no food, no plan, and no goodbye. Understandably, he was terrified of strangers and unsure if anyone could be trusted again.
But Cheese was rescued—and everything changed.
Since then, he’s been working with a professional trainer and has made incredible progress. He’s a thoughtful, loyal dog who takes time to open up, but once he trusts you, he’s all in. He thrives in calm environments and bonds deeply with his person.
Cheese loves to run, play ball, explore, roll around happily in the grass, and hang out with his favorite humans. He isn’t a social butterfly—and he’s okay with that. He prefers one-on-one time, quiet companionship, and people who respect his need for space at first. He’s not a dog who wants a chaotic household—he’s looking for stability, patience, and belonging.
