“We are definitely a dog family. We had three large dogs with newborn triplets and then had two more kids. Our children are now 17 to 22 years old, but we never had less than two dogs in our home. This past Christmas, we lost our sweet lab Brodie to cancer and our German Shepherd was so sad. A couple of months ago, our 17 year old son was getting a perm-yes that is a thing now, near the Kriser’s adoption event. I knew we needed to add another addition and what’s better than meeting a dog face to face and a foster to adopt opportunity! Emmy was adorable and very skittish, but I knew that all she needed was a home to call her own. We had Emmy meet Zeus and visit our home and she has been with us the last few months now. She has overcome some fears and loves being a sofa dog. We are enjoying having Emmy part of our family. From the very beginning, the leadership and dedication Teresa brings to this rescue were clear. Her passion drives the mission forward and shines through in every detail. This rescue is not only focused on saving dogs but also on giving them the best chance at a healthy and joyful life.
Holstein, our sweet dog, was rescued by the Angel Dog Alliance from the Chicago Pound. We initially signed up to foster him, and it did not take long for him to become a part of our family and find his forever home. If you choose to foster, it is a truly rewarding experience, and the team will be there to support you every step of the way. You may even find your forever friend, just like we did.
Holstein has a long list of allergies, and while most fosters might not have invested time or money into testing, they did and it made a world of difference. By the time he reached me, they had already run an allergy test and quickly switched his food to a fresh diet to support his recovery. Their care and attention amazed us, and because of them he is thriving and living his happiest life.
Throughout the process, they continued to check in and offer helpful advice. Thanks to their guidance and support, Holstein’s is living life! He listens so well and is a truly wonderful companion.

“Teresa doesn’t know this but she herself is an angel, one of the biggest angels I’ve ever met to put her life on the line to help animals find great forever homes.
She is one of the most heart-centered animal lover’s you will ever meet. I met her randomly + quickly became acquainted + before you knew it I had one of her foster pups, Gypsy in my vicinity which was one of the biggest highlights of my life. She is a true animal lover + works tirelessly, around the clock to find the best homes for her fosters. A passionate advocate for animal rights + securing homes that are reputable, loving, safe + secure, she doesn’t stop until she finds the best people to match with the best dogs. You will be very hard pressed to find someone as dog loving as she is. If she could take in every dog she would. She spent an unbelievable amount of time with me + my beautiful foster pup, Gypsy as we got acquainted. Gypsy is the most precious pitbull I’ve ever known + I fell in love within minutes. Teresa took a loving interest in her as she was left at a construction site in Texas with a broken hip + pelvic fractures. Teresa worked diligently + tirelessly to get her out of that situation + she often goes way above + beyond for ALL the animals that come into her vicinity. If she could save animals all her life she would do it + be the BEST person for the job. Her passion is over flowing + she has the biggest + kindness heart. She knows dog very well, works on their limitations, trains them, diligently has them going to pet adoption places for visibility + she is incredibly communicative.

“I felt welcome by Angel Dog Alliance the minute I walked into the Pet Supplies plus store in Naperville, IL. Teresa introduced a couple of dogs for me, and shared with me their background. By the time my husband came in, (he came from work), they got us hooked on Skip, a 2 year old hound dog mix. We spent a couple of hours with the wonderful people there from Angel Dog Alliance, and we ended up taking Skip home to foster, only for about a week then we noticed he was slowly steeling our hearts.
